how many of you here have more black clothes than all other colours combined?

well, i'm one of them. i never realized how bad it was until i decided to arrange my closet (yes, v, i actually cleaned up my closet. super proud of it now). Half, wait, 75% of my closet is filled with black dresses and that's excluding the two drawers i have filled to the brim with black tops, leggings and cardigans.

To make things worse, aside from black, brown, white and gray accounts for another 20% of my clothes. How sad is that??

So, I've decided that from this moment on I will not buy a single piece of black clothing (v & m, pls remind me the next time a black piece catches my eye).

I mean why should i stick with black when there's a multitude of colourful and bright clothes out there?

One particular site that caught my eye recently is dollhouse avenue. I love love the way a group of them pose in the same clothes but in different colours (s, this is probably what you had in mind for our outing the other day). I mean how can anyone say no to these

well, i know i can't. haha. *avoids v&m's gaze* but seriously, how nice are these? and the price is pretty reasonable too as they're current having a price cut and you can get some pretty great items for around Rm 25 but most items are around Rm 30 - Rm 39 which is still pretty reasonable.

So quick head on over as there are more where these came from!

Rara Black

There's a few things that draws me to a blogshop. First is of course price. Being the skint that I am, the cheaper the better. But, there are some sites that I visit almost on a daily basis for no reason other than good photography and an attractive layout.

And, Rara Black is one of these blogs. I just love everything about the blog, from the layout, to the photos and of course the clothes. But you know how things are in life. Typically blogs that have great photography and great design are usually also more expensive.

But, Rara Black is currently having a sale and there are some pretty great deals on some items. After discount, the prices range from around Rm 35 - RM 60. I'm supposed to control my spending but the dresses from Rara Black are pretty tempting.

Just a lil' something to end the day..

Yawns...its 12.15 but I cannot resist posting this up. Cute but with an edge. From Daily Boutique.

My first ever online shopping experience

I find it hard to believe now but there was once a time where I didn't even know about online shopping. Yea sure I knew about e-bay but that was it. I never knew there were such things as blog shops, and in Malaysia some more. And of course, I was skeptical about online shopping when I first knew about it. I mean the concept of browsing through stuff online, then contacting the blog owner, waiting for a reply, finalizing the purchase, banking in the money and waiting for the purchase to arrive just seems so time consuming. And of course being quite the worry wart, I would wonder, can the blog owner be trusted, or is it just a scam? Or, will the clothes look as nice as it does in the photo and can it fit me? Or even, will the items get lost in transit, what if it never reaches me?

So, ever the pessimist I did not give it a chance at first. Until a friend bought a dress online. And, guess what, she got her dress. The blog owner did not scam her, the dress looked just like it looked in the photo and her package arrived just fine. The friend continued shopping online and eventually after seeing her browse online shops day in and day out I eventually succumbed to temptation and decided to give it a shot.

One day, her, another friend and I ordered kimono dresses from ladiesfash. We each bought a different colour. Oh how excited we were. We were supposed to be studying for an exam but i'm sure most of you can understand how easy it is to go from studying to online shopping in just a second. hehe.

We sent our email and waited patiently for the reply. Oh how excited I was when the package finally arrived. I must say I was really satisfied with the purchase. Hence, the addiction.

The dress that started it all
(Excuse the photo. Can't seem to find the original post from ladiesfash)

A process that seemed so bothersome at first now seems so simple and more importantly convenient. Now, whenever I'm bored all I need to do is go online, browse through blogshops and if i see anything i like, send an email. So, yes, I don't know if I should be glad that I discovered online shopping or sad (my wallet always seems to be empty now that I know about online shopping).

So, what's the first ever purchase you bought online? How did you find out about online shoppping?

JanLeVin

JanLeVin is a new online boutique which offers both latest trends and good prices! Love the homepage with the four smiling faces! It gives off a sense of warm welcome to all their customers before "entering" their boutique *hearts*

For a newly opened boutique, there is a huge range of fashion to choose from like floral dresses, formal dresses and to even printed tees!

However, mostly are for the small sized and medium sized people. So, the L sized people and above, you should check the measurements with the owners of this boutique before purchasing, okay? I bet they're very helpful & friendly people, so don't shy away~

Let me quote a little from their site:
"We are always on the look out for new, trendy fun and most importantly affordable clothing. So, if u happen to spot something u love out there but find it too much to pay for, just simply snap a picture of it and send it to us and we’ll try our best to hunt it for u, at a reasonable and affordable price of cos =)"

Thus, if you're looking for a certain style which they do not have on their site now, you could actually request so and hope for the best!
If that ain't friendly, then I ain't got a term for that kind of service.

Click here to visit JanLeVin boutique and show them some support!~ Aja-aja hwaiting!!

Red ocaso

Red ocaso has always caught my eye for their very unique clothes. This time round, they've updated with an awesome batch of not only clothes, but bags too.

Lovers of blazers and bibbed tops, this is the blogshop for you. They've got quite a number of selections in house....and each of them are so unique that I'm tempted to get 'em all.

And there's even better news..there are awesome prices for some of the items that only last for 10 days from their update last Sunday. *From my observation the prices are slashed for around RM5..and some even more!* This means that you girls have 9 more days to take your pick. So hurry hurry! There's even free gift for purchases above RM80!!

Wait no more and head over to Red Ocaso to see for yourself. =)

Pretty in Pastel

I think need a break from all the bright, florescent colours! Bright red and hot pink were eye-catchers especially during CNY, right?
I think we shall head towards soft and subtle approach with pastels! I mean just looking at these colors just... melts my heart.

Furthermore, pastels just matches with anything? Be it another pastel color, earthy colors, jeans or even just black! As for me, my favorite combination would be a pastel color and white. *hearts*
Cute granny, a Singapore-based vintage store has quite a selection on pastel colored clothes.
The prices are pretty reasonable and I must say the blog layout is very nice!

New arrivals at Doublewoot! And all sold out?!? Thank goodness it's restockable and delivery on the very next day!~ Double yeay! =P

p.s. I can't wait till pastel colored tights sells hahahaha!

flymas.mobi as easy as a touch

Hi, sorry but today i'm going to branch out slightly from our typical shopping posts. Aside from being a shopping addict, i love online competitions (i mean who can say no to freebies) and traveling. So, when you put MAS + online contest + free tickets (to JAPAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), you get a very excited me!

So, for those of you who have yet to hear about it, MAS recently launched their mobile site, http://flymas.mobi. And, as part of their promotions for the site, they're organizing a video contest. The premise is simple, create a video with the theme "flymas.mobi as easy as ........"

Being slightly video shy (ok. for those who know me, slightly is an understatement), i told a couple of friends about the contest and they were pretty interested as well. So, yea, i was just there as the kepoh person, not doing much but just laughing at them. Hoho.

kk. I think most of you are probably sick of my long narrating. So, on to the video:

Aren't they completely adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Kristy for being such a good sport! And Anthony and Nigel as well!! And if you look closely you'll see a surprise cameo appearance from ME!!! ahahaha. I tried my best to stay out of frame but somehow appeared in one of the scenes. oh well. at least no one can tell it's me anyway. But yea, had a lot of fun during the shoot and we had the chance to enjoy the sunset. LOL. a bit of an inside joke there. Those who were there would probably get what i'm referring to.

So, yes, flymas.mobi as easy as a touch. It really is!!! Just a couple of touches and you can book a flight, check in, manage your bookings, and check your flight status among others. And, more importantly, you can do it anywhere, as long as you have a phone that can go online. I'm oh so excited to start booking flights and planning my next holiday. But yes, of course first i have to figure out the tiny tiny issue of money. SOB SOB. In a perfect world, I'll be really rich and can just travel freely without a single worry in the world. Ok, sorry, i'm deviating slightly from the point. Ahhh. but i can practically hear the sakura blossoms in japan calling out to me!!
