Updates for today

Its me M here back after taking a long break from e.g.s reviews and how I have missed updating for you girls and guys. The online shopping blogosphere is as active as ever and boy was it hard for me to catch up with all the new updates, trends and latest looks. Here are some updates from today, all the more tempting us to shop *wink*

Jeggings and the ultimate bodycon skirt are a must-have in every girls closet. Convenient and versatile for any occasion.

Uber stylish cropped jacket with puffed up sleeves and high waisted jeans. Definitely one of the latest trends these days.

Very fun and girly shirt dress with accompanying sash while below they have a simple dress which actually has a skort at the bottom. Cute much?

Learning is ongoing.

Everyday, I do learn new things. Today, I love how I learn a new thing each day. [Even though, when I was a kid, I hated school and some no-fun teachers] In exchange of my time which is a depleting resource, I learn something in return. I could watch a whole series of drama and learn new things from it. Be it the fashion clothes-matching, love problems, life problems and how to deal with them or what the consequences are if I were to choose that way. Especially love dramas where I learn and grow together with their characters. That's probably why I'd cry as bad as or worse than the character when they cry. *blushes*

Sometimes, making friends will teach you something you'd never know. For instance, I made friends with a Shanghainese gal and I learnt that ALL shanghainese guys will know how to cook well. Okay, I side-tracked! I meant to say actually I learnt how to make 'jiao zhi' -still sucked at wrapping them.. but hey! Back home, I don't think my mother would teach me this =P our supermarkets don't sell the 'pi' anyways.

Last year, I started to knit! With those two long needles, yup yup yup. Made a long scarf which... a friend said it'll make a nice tablecloth -.- And I moved on to crocheting! Amigurumis are oh-so-cute. I kind of miss cross-stitching too. Internet is a great place to learn all these skills! From video tutorials to pictures step-by-step, you just name it, everything seems to be available on the net. Now, I'm actually trying to learn vector art! Thanks to h. I still want to learn other languages or my own mother tongue. I want to sharpen thy baking skills too! I dream to have my own vegetable patch too. And oh a flower garden too! Hahahaha So many things I want to do, what about you? Just wanted to inspire you guys to probably pick up a hobby or just something you really like and invest your time into it. I don't believe in wasting time. A nice long nap in the afternoon gives you more time to dream and rest well.

Learning more about a person is also a plus! My mother would tell me about her past ..although there might be repeats in her stories that's because it's a very memorable part of her life, I guess... but sometimes she'd tell me about herself which I never knew and I find that interesting. Learning about my friends background is also intriguing hehehehe (a girl who loves gossips)

So, put your learning cap on! And keep on learning people =)

L.O.V.E.

I think everyone would know this line especially after Sept. the 11th. " Always tell your loved one "I love you" as you'll never know what might happen"

It grieves me to know someone I know has suddenly passed away. It's so much harder for the person closer to that person though. My uncle whom I adored had suddenly passed away recently. At first, I was just shocked... it seemed surreal. Till my parents told me they were going back for the funeral, I could then began to slowly accept it's not a lie. Away from denial, tears would roll down my cheeks out of nowhere throughout the week. What would sadden you would be the limited time you spent with your loved one. You'd be thinking back and coming to a conclusion that the memories you have together are just so ..few and could have been more or if only there was more.  The limited memories you have would be on replay and keep on repeating in a loop. It's almost as if you began you appreciate all the things or just his laugh more than when he was alive, making you feel guilty. Since the cause of death was unknown, my grandmother kept on pondering why and how did it happen? even when weeks had passed since he's gone. She kept tearing up when she mentioned she was making 'bak chang' happily since my uncle said he'll eat it after he return from jogging, but he never returned.

Therefore, my friends appreciate every moment you share with the person next to you. Always show your love to those you love cause actions speak so much louder than words! Gestures of kindness towards your family may it be small, but it'll definitely be noticeable =)

I now yearn to spend more time with my parents and siblings and all my friends! Reunions shall be loved tons by me hahahaha

If I haven't told you all, I LOVE YOU! XOXO

Short break

We egs girls will be away for a short while and we will have limited access for the time being.

Posting will resume like normal by next Monday. :)

Tea Garden Boutique

Simple floral dress for that summery feel. Available in three different colours; I like the white with pink flowers the most!

I'm telling you, get yourself a denim outerwear if you haven't yet!! haha. It's a total must to have at least something denim. Heck, even the super junior boys were spotting denim attires for their 'no other' promotions.

*cough* sorry about the fangirling here.

We can't deny acid-wash apparel being the 'hot stuff' too. Go for the blue one for the casual look, or the black one for a little more matured look.

Are you beautiful?

I believe everyone would want to be beautiful! Make-up would be one way (and I'll probably need to go to a course so that I can tell the difference with all those liners and thingy majigers!). Clothes definitely show different sides of you to other people as appearance is something we, humans, look at first at a another person, and drastically plastic surgery definitely enhances your looks with truckload of $$$ and pain.

But, if a pretty person started swearing or smoking or worse... would we still consider them 'beautiful'? Somehow, I'd just let out a sigh and shake my head as if it's such a waste. Hmm, I wonder why though... Sometimes, I would look at my friends pictures on facebook (ahaks), just to see who they're hanging out with or how their friends look like {I'm THAT bored sometimes} and it just always seem to be my friend which is the prettiest person amongst her group of friends. Biased, I know... however, it could just be that I know my friend and I don't know her friends? lol excuse my theory... or analogy

In a nutshell, although a makeover can make you look so much better, it's only on the outside and you need to have a makeover inside too! In order to transform yourself into a beautiful swan from an ugly duckling, start kicking bad habits and start new good ones!

Audrey Hepburn was once a beauty icon in the past, and still is until now =) She's beautiful from the inside and out which makes me look up to her. There is one quote from her which really got me into thinking.

"For attractive lips, Speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, Seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, Share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, Let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
For poise, Walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone."

Maybe from her quote, you could start your inner makeover! It's gonna be tough and you might relapse into your old bad habits. Do re-start all over again and keep trying. The longer you're in maintenance mode, the least likely you would fall back to square one. Remember that quitters never win and winners never quit.

Harrods-inspired teddy print wallet! CUTE! Available in both red and gold, but I personally think gold is prettier!! I'm sooo tempted but I'll leave it to fate, ie. if it's still available after my holiday trip which is in two days, I'm so gona purchase it. haha.

This hobo was just put up on glossy addiction last night, and guess what there's only one left in this colour. What are you waiting for?

Here's another hobo which can also double as a sling.
