CNY is just around the corner and i don't know about the rest of you, but I for one am excited! As a child ihave always loved CNY as it means receiving ang pau, eating new year goodies (i simply can't resist prawn crackers and cornflake cookies!) and the gathering with relatives and friends. Today, I still love CNY for all the same reasons and more! More being shopping for clothes!! Yes, CNY is one time where we don’t feel guilty (or at least feel less guilty) about buying new clothes.

I’m sure most of you have already started your CNY shopping but for those who have yet to do so, there are plenty of great offerings online.

First up, one of our new fav, Seoul Beauty. We’ve always been hesitant about pre order products but after purchasing from Seoul Beauty, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The quality is indeed top notch and for the prices, there are no complaints at all. The only downside with it being preorder is having to wait though. But it is worth the wait! They recently updated with a bunch of accessories. Check out the headbands in a variety of colours below. The best part? Only rm 8 each!

Next, another old fav of ours, double woot. I’ve honestly lost count of the number of purchases I’ve made from double woot. And again, their quality never fails to disappoint. I'm a big big fan of desserts and basically anything sweet! And one of my fav pastries are cream puffs!

So imagine how excited I was when we were approached by kee's cream puffs.

Kee's cream puffs as the name indicates specializes in cream puffs. Currently they only have a Facebook page but they do deliveries!!

So the other day, the lovely ppl from kee's cream puffs were kind enough to send me a box of cream puffs.

How can anyone resists these???

Well, i certainly didn't bother resisting them at all and devoured a few of them in a single sitting!! The creampuffs were absolutely yummy! The best part is they were bite size so you can pretty much just pop them in your mouth! hehe...

I now find myself craving for more!!

Eat: A week of lunches

Hi! Today I will be hijacking this blog and steering away from our usual “Shop” posts and move towards an “Eat” post.

Previously we did a series of posts which chronicled our daily outfits. This time round, instead of my outfits for the week, I’ll be writing about food!

I’m probably one of the few ppl in Malaysia who pack my lunch daily. A bit of background though: I can’t cook! But even my failed attempts are slightly better than the fare I can get where I work. I used to work in KLCC which is heaven for a shopaholic and foodie like me. Then sadly my office moved out of KLCC. The horror! So yes, at our new location the food choices are abysmal! So much so that I’ve started packing my own lunch. And surprise surprise, I’m starting to enjoy it. The girl who can’t even boil eggs is starting to enjoy cooking and likes to think that she’s getting better at it. haha. (Just when i think i'm improving i managed to burn an entire pot of stew. T_T)

So here’s what I cooked and packed to lunch for an entire week:

Monday: Chicken pie

I only have more time to cook on the weekends, so i happened to make a huge batch of chicken pie. I saved some to be packed for lunch on Monday. My pies are incredibly hideous but i had no pie pans. They tasted good though. Yum yum!!!

Tuesday: Braised beef with broccoli

Being a noob cook I’m always on the lookout for simple recipes. And plus working full time doesn’t leave you much time to cook so my best friend is the slow cooker. At night I’ll just dump everything in the slow cooker and the next morning I’ll wake up to gorgeously cooked food!! This braised beef recipe is super simple and oh so yummy!!!! As a result of cooking for 10 hours the meat was very tender and the sauce is thick and sweet and salty. It’s a recipe I’ll definitely try again. No photos for this as it didn't look very appetizing. But the recipe to it here in case anyone wants to try it.

Wednesday: Bacon wrapped cheese stuffed chicken with charred lemon broccoli

Just the name sounds wonderful right??? I got both recipes off Zite (an amazing app for whoever owns an iPad by the way) and I knew I had to try it out. And plus, I already had all the ingredients in my fridge!! It literally only took 5 mins to put everything together. The broccoli requires 40 mins at 250^oC while the chicken 15 mins at 175^oC. Me, being a fan of short cuts, I threw the broccoli in the oven first at 250^oC, then after 20 mins, I took the pan out, placed my chicken, lowered the temperature to 175^oC and baked for an additional 15 mins. Another recipe to be bookmarked!

Thursday: Korean Jab jae

I love jab jae. Without fail each time I step into a Korean restaurant I will insist on an order of jab jae. Went grocery shopping the other day and spotted the Korean noodle used for the dish. I immediately bought a pack, whipped out my phone and started googling for recipes so I know what other ingredients I need. The ingredients are pretty simple: spinach, carrots, mushrooms, onions, garlic, sesame seed and meat of your choice. I pretty much already have everything aside from spinach. And omg! Spinach is so cheap! I bought a huge bunch for just 90 cents!!!!

Friday: Pork chop with salad

This is a simple meal where i basically just marinated my pork in salt, pepper and some herbs (i used rosemary and parsley), and pan fried it. For the salad i used an asian style dressing of light soya sauce, vinegar, sesame oil and a bit of sugar. Yummy!

After starting brown bagging to work i realized it's actually quite fun and not only do you save money you get to eat healtier! Loads of benefits. haha. Everyone should give it a shot!

Doll-like fashion

Nam Gyu Ri pulled doll-like fashion really really well in the drama "49 days". I personally wasn't a fan of dressing up doll-like until I watched this sad touching drama!! *hints to everyone who needs to shed a few tears to watch this!!* On the side note, this drama opened my eyes and heart to really treat everyone from good to better and from better to even more better doesn't matter near or far! So that they would be able to shed a genuine sad tears for me when I'm gone =P

Anyways, back to her dresses! From the nice pale pastel colour (peach) to the flowy cape and the ribbon belt! This dress is just such an awesome design! Especially if you're like me, not happy with sleeveless dresses and all~

The other white dress she wore was also angelic! She cut her hair too [Note: She's on the left-hand side] [Yes, I agree... her face eerily portrays a doll too! >3<]

This is outside the scope of the drama, but I think I love this dress! Butterfly sleeves and floral patterns with colours that suit this spring season makes my heart go "AHhhhhhh!~"

A belated post

So, remember my last random post? Click here to refresh that memory of yours. =) I did those 4 steps religiously for 3 weeks, I think. And results are.... I think I look the same. Based on my thoughts, it could be more beneficial for those whose acne vulgaris severity is at Grade III - IV, whereas my skin was just Grade I to II. As you can see, I think a lot based on how many times I mentioned thinking or think or thoughts.

Moving on, most people living and breathing on Earth suffers from mild to moderate to severe cases of acne at many points of their lives. I mean just the occasionally huge zit on your nose or chin is just utterly ....sad =(

Thus, a few random facts for you to read through on another boring day of your life!

1. Acne is an inflammatory disease of the follicles of your skin which all started from a bacteria called
Propionibacterium acnes.
2. Poor hygiene does not cause acne. Use mild-cleaning regimen (low-irritant, pH-balanced, soap-free, oil-free products. Washing 2 times a day is great. Not too many times as it'll traumatize thy skin.

3. Chocolate causes spots is false as there is no proof that any food causes acne. Healthy normal diet is warranted as its to keep your body healthy as a whole person.
4. Stress does not cause acne but it can make it worse.
5. Gels and solutions are more useful on oily skin as they have a drying effect.
6. Dry skin on the other hand will benefit from creams instead.
7. Lotions are great on large areas of skin such as upper trunk and neck.
8. There is no such thing as a 'quick fix' even prescribed medicines will take weeks to show results.
9. Do not squeeze thy pimples no matter how tempted you are to. Resist the temptation is all I can say! Preventing scars is better than trying to cure them. ( No sure cure for scars- decrease its prominence on your skin maybe)

As it inevitable that we're aging as every second passes by, we need to care for our own skin. If we don't, who else would? Hahahaha

The main reason which prompted me to write a post - a very belated one. Sorry! *drumrolls* V's birthday is TODAY! That's right, our beautiful unnie is turning twenty - years old! Graduation ceremony two more day from now. So, sad I can't be there to take photos with you all in your gowns or whatever their called! Partially envious and partially proud and definitely happy! Plus, on getting a job of thy dream! (JAPAN-like) I really hope you will do well on your work-life and love-life too! This is another start of a new chapter of your life V! Do spare some of your time to update us here on egs, ok? Love you tons and don't miss me too much hahaha

Hey,

Hope you guys aren't bored of our corporate chic posts by now cause i'll be sharing another one. I actually blogged about what's appropriate for office wear and what's not here. Time really flies and already i'm in the work force but here's a little confession: i still don't have the slightest clue what i should wear to work. haha.

Like M, I am also an engineer. Like her, I have an office job and i spend my entire day in front of the computer running simulations and what not. Luckily i'm working in a pretty casual office. You would never ever see anyone in a suit and you will see a few people in jeans even on days other than casual fridays. But I like dressing up, so I do enjoy looking for nice clothes to wear. But at the same time since I'm pretty new to the job I keep to safe items like structured work dresses and buttoned shirts with skirts.

Monday

First day of the week. As usual, there's the slight monday blues as the weekends are never long enough! But to brighten up my day, i'm wearing a new dress that i just bought over the weekend. I'm attempting to add more colour into my pretty dull looking wardrobe and yes, many of you are probably thinking that the dress is gray and not exactly very brightly coloured but there are tinges of pink! haha. It counts to me! Anyway, got this dress at Dressing Paula (which i just discovered btw and i must say i'm loving their clothes! I think there's only one branch in KL which is in Sunway Pyramid. So do drop by and have a look see!)

Tuesday

Decided to go for a simple shirt + skirt combo today. I'm wearing a buttoned shirt from Dorothy Perkins and a high waisted pencil skirt from Seed. Bought the skirt recently during Isetan member's day (i work in KLCC so there's nothing better than going crazy in Isetan during my long friday lunch break. hehe). And i actually got the skirt for 50% off which is pretty great and i'm loving the skirt! Have been wearing it every week since i got it.

Wednesday

Another simple work dress. The dress is also a recent purchase (i'm starting to feel a bit embarrassed as it seems that most of my clothes are recent purchases. if that is not a clear sign that i'm a hopeless shopaholic what is??). Anyway, got the dress during my recent trip to Singapore in this random shop in Wisma Atria. Can't remember the name and again I LOVE IT!!! hehe.

Thursday

Another work dress! This is the dress that i usually wear when i'm feeling LAZY!! It's very comfy (cause it's actually one size bigger. hehe). So i usually just throw it on when i'm feeling sluggish. and by thursday i'm usually a bit sluggish. haha. But i must admit that i look a bit sloppy when i'm wearing this dress as it is bigger but it's still formal enough i guess. Anyway, the dress is by fashionlab which i also purchased from Isetan during member's day.

Friday

Casual fridays!! On casual fridays i would usually take out my floral dresses. Hehe. Here i'm wearing a floral dress that i purchased from Double woot ages ago! One of my fav dresses as it's very comfy and looks good!

And writing this post makes me realize that i'm one of those people who remember tiny details about each of my purchases. Haha. I think you can just randomly pull out a dress from my closet and i will tell you all about its history, from where i got it to how much i paid for it.

Anyway, I'm just going to echo my fellow blogmates and urge all of you to let us know what you wear to work!

And have you all read the recent Corporate chiq?Its pretty cool and I find it really convenient because I often run out of ideas what to wear to work. Worst case scenario, just accessorize and you will still dazzle your colleagues in those long meetings and workshops.

Okay, back to proms/balls. I started doing my research and apparently there are HEAPS of it on ebay. Unfortunately, most of the nice dresses that I like required a postage of $450.

Then, what method was most effective, word of mouth of course! I asked around and most mentioned an online shop called ASOS. After much searching, I actually found a few good bargains. I tell you its the perseverence ladiessss!! The greatest bonus of all, shipping is free!! I kid you not!!!

Corporate Chic II

HI and welcome to our Corporate Chic section. Something new we are trying out and I guess all of you have gotten a feel of what this section will feature already from the first entry.

I'm pretty new to my workplace, only 3 1/2 months into the job as an engineer and I have to say its been interesting. My job does not require me to be outside and mainly involves sitting in front of the computer doing calculations. In my workplace, there is no strict dress code and you can wear just about anything as long as it is decent (covers just enough of all the right places :P). Because of this freedom, I really have headaches thinking of new outfits every day to the point that sometimes I wish they just gave us uniforms and forced us to wear it. But of course as a shopaholic and fashion junkee, freedom to dress gives me more excuse to shop and also be more adventurous in what I wear.

So for MONDAY, I definitely was down in the dumps with Monday blues and thus chose a dark grey dress to go with my mood and pairing it with a black blazer.

Basically, this is what I wear to the office everyday and of course every week I try to mix and match whenever possible to avoid the usual "Oh NO! There's nothing left for me to wear". This is basically to control my shopping, so I really try to pair more tops with bottoms to get varieties of outfits. But sometimes, a simple dress is the best because you don't have to crack your head to think of what to pair it with!

SO you have ventured into my one week at work and how do you like it so far? Hello, ladies! Hope you all had a great week. I’m a guest here at eat-gossip-shop and I was invited by H to do a little section here called Corporate Chic. We'll talk about what we wear to work from Monday to Friday.

I’ll just give a brief description about my job. I work in a male dominated industry and my job requires me to work in the office and also on site. When I am in the office, I have to be rather formal but when I am out in the field, I have to wear something that allows me to move around easily. So, I have to find a balance between formal and ‘move around easily’.

TGIF! It’s Casual Friday so we’re allowed to dress casually. Those who participate in Casual Friday would have to make donations to designated organisations. This month, all funds goes to Heartkids, a voluntary group who offers support to kids and families of children with heart disease. Perhaps this could be something worth suggesting to the company you’re working for?

Anyway, I’m a bargain hunter. I LOVE cheap stuffs! You can imagine how happy I was when I stumbled across this $2 top from Kmart. Being a size 6 (XS/S) living in Australia, it’s really hard to find clothes in my size. I got really frustrated one day, I decided to explore the kids’ section. I think all the treasures are buried there. This top is made out of the finest quality cotton and it’s really comfy! Cheap and comfy!

When H previously mentioned she got a toga dress, I was shocked! (then started imagining H in a toga dress) And then suddenly it struck me! I don't even own one. Teehehehe

Checked out realnutcase's blog, and not only was I attracted to the name of this blog, I actually think this toga is my style! But the only color left was olive. I think olive looks good/better with milky white and fair skin girls... which I'm not. But nevertheless, still a very pretty simple dress which its flower belt making it perfect. The only other black dress available is great for going out looking casual yet a tinge of sophistication

I then chanced upon Chic-Chat and saw 2 very wonderful skirts which I wanted to share with you all!~

The skirt on the left: OMG Sailormoon! Hahahhaha If you're into anime/cosplaying =) may not be as short as... but its length is more acceptable in public, okay? Totally screams highschool girl's uniform to me =)

The skirt on the right: Printed skirt, animal printed which is actually very prevalent recently from what I noticed. Carefully matched with a black patternless tee/singlet and you're ready to hit the city on a Friday night! (which seems pretty far from today....)

Although H or other egs girls have said this, and I know I'm just repeating this over again... Really do apologise and very very sorry for the lack of updates and posts! Last year in university has been really rough for me *pity me plz*

Anyways, let's give another warm welcome to Miss K who's also part of the childhood friends team. Will need to do her introduction soon ( makes mental note)

So, what to blog about?

In my 2X years of my life, I finally dyed my virgin black hair with the darkest shade of brown. The product I used was Kao Liese Bubble Hair Dye "Dark Chocolate". Yumm

Easy to use and not drying/ very damaging to your beloved hair supposedly! However, some of my acquaintances complained of the smell which I actually thought was more bearable than the ones I got in hair salons Hahahaha Then, again I might be just biased. And different colours like milk tea or sweet pink and many more have like different cute/pretty models with different poses! Packaging ftw. I hate it when I look from left row to the right and it the same girl with each of her hair strand in the exact same position but just her hair color digitally edited *pouts* But, that's just me.

Moving on... seeing that I'll need to enter workforce soon, makeup is sort of essential in making good first impressions. I started to buy a bit here and there and poof! I'm sick of concealing which for me doesn't really do much =P I decided to take better care of my face and followed this lady's recommendation of Shiseido's d program acne care set which requires 4 steps! Double cleansing... great... which I religiously followed (which I normally find the 3 step care of washing-toner-moisturiser already a pain) This is my utmost effort people!! So far... no difference but it's only been 5 days. Will briefly tell you the results soon-ish *blushes*

I'm sure most of you reading this blog are shopaholics. I can't deny the fact that i'm a shopaholic. i literally itch to shop if i go too long without shopping. and for me too long is usually less than a week. that's how bad i am. my last purchase was on saturday (technically my last purchase was just yesterday but i bought something practical so it does not count. hehe) and now i'm really feeling the itch to shop!!

So here are some stuff that caught my eye (and no, i have not bought anything but am very tempted though!)

White Circus

Out of these 5 items, I was so tempted to order.....ALL 5! But the restraining order I put on myself was holding on real well *pats self on back* :P From top down, pussy bow top, a very feminine, soft but at the same time masculine blouse, polka dotted full skirt, another polka dotted baby-doll dress and the striped sweetheart dress. The items all screamed elegant, sweet and slightly 70's inspired.

Daily Boutique

Just purchased 2 blouse from here a week ago and I couldn't resist it when I saw that they had updated. They are well stocked with sweet, demure and flirty blouses like the two below and for me, its perfect for work. It makes a plain black work pants or skirt look interesting when paired together and I will definitely purchase more once my ban is lifted :P

We are still alive but i guess we've been busy the past few months transitioning into our new lives. Yes 3/4 of us egs girls are no longer students and have entered the work force. Hence the lack of posts. Sorry. But hopefully we will have more time now to post since things have more or less settled.

Double woot is one of my fav blogshops around and without fail i would find myself lusting over at least one item with each update they have. Heart this dress and i especially love the colour. Is it a coincidence that i happen to be attracted to blue pieces today? Or is it my monday blues manifesting itself?? haha.

Considering that we're working now it's no wonder that i find myself looking mostly at work clothes nowadays. After only two months of work i'm pretty much sick of my work wardrobe. haha. Here's a chunky bracelet from H&M. Love the combination of different sized chains and pearls. And golden reminds me of Chinese New Year because that's the one time of the year where I'll be wearing my gold accessories (I have the tendency to lose things..).

....and I reckon this peace ring will match really well with the bracelet. Love the bling-bling detailing and the double rings attached, of which are adjustable to fit all ring sizes :)

This lil puppy necklace is just soooooo adorable. Notice how the puppy has got its own bling doggy collar. Love how the two layers of the necklace compliment each other so well. Plus points for the bow and pearl. I want!!!

They've got more earrings, rings, necklaces, bracelets...you name it! But what's really got me interested are these fake nails! To be honest, I've never really taken any interest in fake nails as I'm more into getting a manicure done on my real ones...but after seeing the collection they offer, I am very much tempted to get some to try! And best of all, they are available in different sizes!

I am soooo in love with the pink ones that I can't choose which one to review! I simply do not know how to describe each of these but just head over to the Le Boudoir for the pictures in higher resolution and you will be surprised at how neat the 3D acrylic detailing is done.

Just started working anyone? Or would you want to look better in uni lecture halls? Get at least one top/dress or a CARDIGAN from Knit & Co! Well, that's just me being biased... a little tinsy winsy bit biased due to the fact it's korean/japan origin. *coughs coughs*

Downside: washing = using hands and laying flat to avoid stretching of material or maybe... do you think I can just stuff them into the protecting bag before dumping into the washing machine? Would it work?

Been spring cleaning for the past week and my hands are hurting a lot! But this way I feel less guilty about shopping hehe. C'mon, I deserve it!

Yesterday this arrived from twin flames closet and I LOVE it to bits and pieces!! The material's stretchy and the side ruches ensure perfect fit!

They're only left with nude and white though, so you could head over to the attires' attic for the red one.

I bought another red dress in the same week from ladiesfash, and I LOVE this one too! The picture doesn't do it justice, really. I reckon it looks much better worn :D

I 'invested' in some work clothes too and I really like this one from doublewoot. Although it's a little bit loose on the waist for me, I don't regret getting this at all. Thick and comfy cotton; perfect for working in air-conditioned offices.

While I'm at it, I just gotta spazz about this mulberry-inspired I got from Angel Glory a while back. I must say that this is one good buy. Normally I'm rather fussy about purchasing bags, because I really like for my bags to be structured, ie. it should maintain its shape when placed on the table and when there are things in it. I must say, 2 thumbs up to this bag :)

And do note all of the above, there's proof of those via his actions (not just words) on and off TV airings. ANYWAYS, just wanted to show you the cropped tee which I wouldn't have gotten if it weren't for those lovely lovely words. Anyways, moving on... Curves are essential in these tight-fitting cheongsams. Anyone can agree to that, right? Well, as I was thinking about curves, I stumbled upon Younique Trio with this odd I.R- looking undies. Mind you, THIS is the first time I've ever seen one of these!! Gosh, you do learn new things everyday! It took me a while to really grasp the fact that it's underwear (I thought it was some odd-looking bra). Then I googled. xD

The things that I've missed... there's even silicone ones like those nu-bra's but for butt padding! just slap on and BAAM! the bubble bottoms you've always wanted! Now, I'm starting to think maybe those actresses or models could have used some of these to enhance their assets huh? Hmmmm.... food for thought.

And further 'researching' via google image search... MEN briefs too! front and back, mind you! Now, to we girls need to doubt the roundness of guy's butt or their other side too... >.<

I love dresses from lovebonito (formerly bonitochico) but since it involves singapore dollars (hate you, exchange rate), international payment/postage etc, I can only "window shop". Nevertheless, I cannot NOT share this dress with you guys because it is like the most gorgeous dress ever. period.

It goes for a price of S$49 which is probably around RM120. And that's excluding postage and all. Pretty pricey for a student, but I reckon the quality matches up with the price!

Hi, we figure that with it being Merdeka and all we should be a little patriotic and show some love towards our country. Yes, yes, corny i know but hey, despite my endless rambling and complaining about the various ways Malaysia can be better (i mean let us admit it, Malaysia has a LOT of room for improvement), at the end of the day i can't imagine calling any other country my home. I honestly think that some of Malaysia's flaws actually makes it the country that I am proud to call my home. So, here is the top 5 things I love about Malaysia (in no particular order)

1. Malaysian FOOD!!!!!! Who can deny the greatness of Malaysian food??? I love love love to eat and i can't imagine living without nasi lemak, chicken rice, nasi goreng kampung, satay, sambal fish/sting ray and seriously the list is ENDLESS.

2. Cheap SHOPPING - This of course would be on the list with me being the shopaholic that i am. True, there are many countries with cheaper shopping (ie Thailand, China...) but Malaysia strikes the right balance between being cheap enough yet prosperous enough as a country. There's nothing better than being able to go online and purchase something under RM 30 on days when we are feeling completely stressed out.

3. Poslaju - This is sort of connected to item 3 but i honestly LOVE poslaju! they are completely reliable and fast. I find it amazing how an item from West Malaysia can be sent all the way to Miri within 24 hours. Considering how things aren't always very efficient in Malaysia, i must say that poslaju is VERY efficient.

4. Lack of speed cameras - Yes, in terms of safety, this is probably an area Malaysia can work on. But let's be honest, who wants speed cameras right? I mean can you imagine driving below the speed limit? I honestly can't. I don't really drive fast but even then, my speedometer would usually hit 120 kmh without me realizing it. If we were to live in Australia, i would probably have to declare bankruptcy thanks to my endless speeding tickets!

5. Lots of public holidays - I'm guessing malaysia probably has more public holidays than most countries since we are a multiracial country. I mean how many countries out there celebrates New Year, CNY, Gawai (for us sarawakian), wesak, deepavali, Hari Raya, Christmas and a couple more that i can't even remember? I'm not that excited about the festivities that come along with these celebration but i must say that i do appreciate the public holiday that it grants us. hehe.

This top is really adorable! Gives of a slightly vintage feel too, with the black&white rabbit and whatnot, but the overall cutting of top is not vintagey. Hence, I would say that this top is a blend of modern and vintage. Comes in pink and white too.

The amount of plastic bags we use is absolutely ridiculous. I hate to think of where most of them end up at. Think rivers and seas and floating plastic bags. Not a very pretty sight. *sigh*

On a brighter side, I like how Malaysians are starting to use recycle/reusable bags nowadays...and for those who aren't, please do so! Don't let the "1 person is not going to contribute much" attitude stop you from taking the first step because if everybody else is thinking the same thing, who's going to take care of our earth?

So, the next time you go shopping, remember to bring along your own recycle bag. Stash some extra ones in your car, because there are times when you will realize that you just have to buy that chocolate bar on the way back from work, or maybe there's a sudden one-day sale (Why can't they have one-day-sale for clothes like they do for grocery lol).

So anyways, as I'm on this topic. With the rage of recycle bags going around, I'm sure many of us are looking out for those cute and quirky ones; something less boring than the typical carrefour one perhaps? Check out these from AdoraBabble.

Countryside formality

Far far away from the busy city-life, close to nature would be where I'll be in less than a week! Well... 11 days to be exact.. but hey! Away from civilization?!? Besides that, it would be my first ever encounter with a job! (non-paid of course.. ) My worst dread now is what would an appropriate attire be to work in a retail pharmacy! located in a rural area...

Well, from my insightful observation, "all black" seems to be the omnipresent work attire. But..but.. I don't have such clothes just because it ain't me! *sighs* Well, I guess I need to change my whole wardrobe! No more casual clothes ( i must refrain from buying!) And more formal attire!

For the very lazy me, a checklist to help me choose well:
1) Sleeves is a plus! OR I'll need more cardigans if their sleeveless.
2) Best if it's the ones that look like 2 pieces but are actually one! =)
3) Best if it isn't hand-washed or need ironing badly.
4) Not too short skirts or too low cutting to avoid sexual assaults lol
5) Can't be too high heels or maybe just flats since I'll be standing mostly...
6) Pockets are a plus! To put my keys/ phone.

There might be more, but this is what I came up with for now. Hahahaha

I dropped by Doublewoot and saw a few pieces which would look nice for work! (don't mind those 1-4, just my taste lol)

Sigh.. it's tough finding for the perfect outfit that fulfills all my criteria! Gosh, it's like looking for my ideal man which is actually sad.

Anyways, anyone who's having trouble with time management! (like me) I suggest you list out your 'things to do' into a quartet table like below instead of the normal long never-ending list.

One of Dr. Randy Pausch's great advice, I'd say. Sometimes we do spend too much time on the unimportant but urgent items that our non-urgent & important items would shift over to the urgent & important box! Either discard and ignore the unimportant & urgent matters and focus on the important ones people! You'll be able to find yourself with extra time!

I love this dress! It's probably the floral prints and the huge ribbon on the waist calling out at me. And the flare of the skirt just adds on to the overall cute-ness. I can't decide which colour is nicer though; peach that goes with the colour of the ribbon, or a contrasting grey which matches very nicely with the ribbon too!

Hi! I'm hoping that this would be a regular series where we blog and review things that we bought online. So for this inaugural post for this specific segment i'm going to review the oxford flats that i bought! Remember my post here where i scoured the net for oxford flats?

Well after much contemplation i ended up getting.....NONE of those! haha. well, the shoes i featured were all preorder and i realized that it would probably be mid-september by the time i get them. and knowing how fickle minded i am, i might lose all interest by the time they arrive. So i did some more searching online and finally i found these.......

From dusky wings for RM 48 (they were on sale from RM 70!!)

I chose the grey ones. I initially liked the beige looking one but the colour was listed as gold and i was worried that it would be more goldish than beige-ish as it appeared on the picture and so i opted for the grey ones instead. I was so excited about the shoes that i guess the owner probably got a little annoyed because i was pestering her nearly everyday. Ahahaha. I'm exaggerating of course but i guess i did SMS her a couple times (2 only actually!) asking whether she posted out my package. hehe.

So finally, today i got my shoes from our uni's receptionist. I was so excited i immediately opened the package right there and then (come to think of it, M was the one who helped me open the package). I must say i'm rather pleased with the quality of the shoes but but they are a bit small for me!!!! *wails* But who cares i'm still going to stuff my huge feet into them and hope they expand eventually.

Anyway, enough of me going on and on, here are some photos of the shoes!!
